Genetics and Health Lost in Translation

by Hsien Hsien Lei, PhD on December 14th, 2005

This will be the last time I mention my full-disclosure meme for medical and health bloggers. (For a while at least.) But I’ve got to share one more related tidbit.

Dutch blogging e-zine, about:blank, picked up the idea on Tuesday. Fellow health blogger, Christina Jones, got an online translation for me:

Medical web-unwieldly that you can trust -
Barrel | Tuesday 13 December | karma: + 0 - 0

The onbetrouwbaarheid of the different web-unwieldly was bad for its health (hartkloppingen and raised bloeddruk), thus Hsien Hsien slate decided introduce the questionnaire of the NIH to create more clarity on medical web-unwieldly and their owners. He filled in as first the list himself.

Now he has composed a short list of medical web-unwieldly which you can trust in any case much.

It goes since then pieces improve with the health of the American web fish-waggon

Vincent, a resident of the Netherlands, gave me a more accurate translation:

The title of the post is “Medical weblogs that you can trust”…

Because Hsien Hsien Lei couldn’t trust weblogs this was bad for his health (hartbeatings and high bloodpressure). That’s why Hsien Hsien Lei decided to introduce the ten questions of NIH to get more clearance about medical weblogs en their owners. Offcourse he also answered the questions himself. Now he has made a short list of medical weblogs who you at least can trust! From that moment on the health of the American weblogger is getting better.

First of all they think you are a man, so that’s not true. And second of all I think their first sentence is based on you writing “And not a day passes that I don’t spot some kind of misinformation that gets my heart rate and blood pressure up,” so they took that a bit to serious;)

Web-unwieldy, web fish-waggon, me as a man with cardiovascular disease - a fun day at Genetics and Health.
