Grand Rounds Vol 2 (38) at The Haversian Canal
Niels Olsen is hosting this week’s Grand Rounds Vol 2 (38). His comment about blogging at Medscape’s Pre-Rounds with Dr. Nicholas Genes has me thinking more about what I’m trying to do over here….
I like Instapundit’s idea that bloggers are millions of little reporters, observers. Who cares about tertiary commentary on somebody’s opinion of what somebody else wrote about some article in The New York Times? Second-hand commentary does not make the world a better place because it adds no new ideas to the Internet. But we, the millions of little reporters, by looking a little closer to home and reporting our observations, can add enormous value to the Internet one little bit at a time.
Anyone want to send me your DNA sample so I can do some first-hand reporting?

I have, in fact, spent a great deal of time with him sharing my experience in science and health blogging. […]
