The Odyssey Gene by Kfir Luzzatto
I just finished reading Kfir Luzzatto’s The Odyssey Gene (thank, Kfir!) in which the population is segregated into those who have or don’t have a specific variant of the Davies Gene which grants immunity to a fatal infectious disease. One side is treated as second class citizens. (Can’t reveal too much so as not to spoil the book for you.) In any case, the book eerily mirrors the current situation between Israel and Lebanon. Discrimination is alive in every form whether genetic or not.
