Open Access to Nature Genetics Online Archives
Starting January 2007, all academic and society journals published by Nature Publishing Group, including Nature Genetics and Nature Reviews Genetics, will have open access online archives for all online content dated before January 2003.
From the press release (pdf):
The decision to open the journal archives has been made jointly by NPG and by the societies for whom we publish. Making each journal’s older content freely accessible will encurage wider usage. The policy also helps to address the issue of perpetual access to archives of society-owned journals that transfer between publishers.
As a professional writer with no academic/corporate affiliations and thus limited access to full journal articles (although I’ve got friends to help me out), this open access to older content won’t help much. In his Genetics and Health interview, Nature Genetics Editor Dr. Alan Packard didn’t seem to think complete open access to all content would be financially possible. Knowledge is not free.

This reminds me of how one can find translations to most classical texts online—but the translation are always from the 19th century or earlier and written in florid language that is puzzling to college students. Knowledge does cost something (and perhaps that is not a bad thing).

This is not only extremely unhealthy, but simply untrue. In fact, completely eliminating fat from your diet can actually make it harder to get the results that you want.
