Hi guys!
Long time no see! Day job has been 24/7 these passed few weeks but ever so exciting!
Now to come clean. Penny Harrington is my pseudonym, I’m actually Elaine Warburton and co-founder of a UK company called Opaldia which specialises in genetic medicine and disease surveillance using latest proven technology. Check out our website www.opaldia.com
It was getting too complicated blogging under Penny, which is my late mother’s name (the wonderful person whose slow death from cancer set me on my life’s path). My company is at the coal face and cutting edge of introducing all these genetic and innovative technologies into medicine. Far better to tell you of my experiences, often challenging, cos genetics is here to stay! If we can introduce this whole new field of medicine ethically and clinically appropriately then it has got to be win-win for everyone!
From now on I will still be blogging on latest research and what it means but also sharing with you my first hand experiences, frustrations and highlights of leading a company that aims to get early detection of disease part of routine public finded heath care.
