Cold sore virus may be linked to Alzheimer’s

by Elaine on November 3rd, 2007

There have been a number of scientific papers that have been coming out over the the last few years linking viruses to cancer development.  The most notable is the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and its almost certain role in the development of cervical cancer.  I have written about this in my article titled ‘UK girls get cancer jabs’. However there is now mounting evidence that viruses may play a role in triggering other diseases.

The BBC news site ran an article on how there is increasing evidence that the common cold sore virus Herpes Simplex 1 (HSV-1) may play a role in the development of Alzheimer’s. The researchers at Manchester University, UK infected cultures of human brain cells with the  HSV 1 virus and found a “dramatic” increase in levels of the beta amyloid protein - the building blocks of deposits, or plaques, which form in the brains of people with Alzheimer’s.

Previous research has established that HSV-1 is found in the brains of up to 70% of people with Alzheimer’s.

And a team from the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York found that it was more likely to cause a problem in people who carry a mutant version of a specific gene called ApoE4, which is involved in the breakdown of fats by the body.

They found the vast majority of Alzheimer’s patients they examined carried the gene - and suspect that it works to make HSV-1 more active.

Scientists have still to establish a direct link between the virus and the disease, but the Manchester team believe the findings offer hope for the future.

Interestng post…I’ll refer my Alzheimer’s Notes readers to it. Eventually, with research into all the possibilities causing Alzheimer’s, the scientists will find a cause…and then a treatment or preventative.

    Dear Jeanette

It must be really worrying reading about certain risk factors associated with developing Alzheimer’s, particularly given your personal circumstances.

Please do not worry unduly about this article. Research looking at the effect viruses have on health is at an early stage and no one knows for certain what the end result will be.

There is no cure for cold sores and most of us will become infected at some stage in our lives, often without showing symptoms.

My advice is to enjoy life to the full!

    Take care

    Elaine

I am sitting here reading what I can about dementia and wondering if I should just let it go and do more for myself.

Alzheimer’s is a use disuse principle the percentage of the brain activity that can’t reach the body will be Proportional to the bodies’ posture and function.

Cold sores linked to Alzheimer’s? You’ve got to be kidding! PRACTICLY ALL THE DISEASES ARE JUST FANCY NAMES TO ENRICEN THE PHARMASITICAL INDIUSTRYS POCKETS! WHILE SLOWLY POISONING THE REST OF US AND THE PLANET WITH IT BYPRODUCTS! THIS IS A MUCH BETTER WAY! This is the best drug free medically scientific advice I can give .put it into practice and you will see what I mean!

If every one had a had a upper cervical doctor examine and treat you Nobody would have to have any of these problems that are so prevalent today! or a host of other things. If you go to one before you have an obvious problem you can greatly reduce the chance of ever getting the problems that plague so many other people. . Upper cervical specific doctors is where you should look to help people with ADD, ADHD addictions, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s mental health, Tourette syndrome , autoimmune diseases , or nearly any problem you can think of. Read this! And Spread the news I give instructions on how to find a good upper cervical doctor and what to avoid. You must follow my instructions to the letter. If you have any questions about what you think this can help ask me and I will say if it can cannot or if I don’t know. I will be honest with you.
Everyone should see an upper-cervical doctor. Be examined by one right now! People should be lining up at their office door. It will be the best thing you ever did in your life! Even if you don’t think you have a problem you should still be checked. An upper cervical doctor can tell you with their objective instrumentation if you need an adjustment or not .If you have a future appointment keep it! Be treated before your body breaks down and symptoms occur! .this is the wise thing to do. It is what I did and? I’m glad I did, and so will you! Don’t suffer like so many people you know! The longer the suffering on drugs the longer the recovery! It’s a malfunctioning nervous system. The brain has to communicate with the body. And miscommunication can begin the moment a hand or mechanical device sucks pulls or yanks a baby out in to the world! No mater how you feel you could be worse off than you think! Therefore you can even use this as preventative care .An upper-cervical doctor won’t do anything if your measurements are good. People don’t need to keep taking drugs that slowly poison you even as the byproducts do to the environment. It’s the brain not being able to communicate with the body as well as it should. These people can be helped. After an adjustment, start your exercise program very slowly. Sleep on your back. Do a lot of walking. Don’t wash hair for first 24 hours. Etc-etc. These are some of the things my upper cervical doctor tells his patients. I’ve done my home work and upper cervical doctors are the best!

Ever see a person with so-called ADHD with perfect posture? I don’t think so! The outside of the body is manifesting what is happening on the inside. An upper-cervical doctor can help you. Don’t wait too long. Your body is steadily getting worse over time. Montel Williams was relieved of pain that he had for five years with one adjustment from an Atlas Orthogonal upper cervical doctor. The good it did for him can also be for you. You don’t have to take those toxic drugs. Upper cervical doctors help to get the body into better balance. There should be a mad dash looking like a mass exodus from a city going to these upper cervical specific doctors! Not only will each person benefit. Every one will. Our nation will! And when totally embraced the world will!

More information about upper-cervical methods and results can be found at http://www.upcspine.com. That site also has an excellent DVD: “The Power of Upper Cervical”. Other web sites to look at to locate upper cervical specific doctors are: http://www.uppercervical.org, and http://www.uchca.com/aboutus/members.html. Further questions can be directed to me at hughesj@sonic.net.

Anyone and I mean anyone who has a condition that has not responded to conventional care should go to an upper cervical specific doctor. “Specific” means the doctor practices ONLY upper-cervical treatment without twisting the neck

. He or she will not do anything else to you. If anyone suggests other types of chiropractic treatment, like full spine chiropractors and mixers DON’T GO THERE!

Some good upper-cervical methods are Duff method, Atlas Orthogonal, NUCCA, light toggle recoil, Grostic or any other technique that pays close attention to the sagittal atlantoaxial region. The doctor should use x rays — base posterior, a-p open mouth, lateral, nasium, and some times vertex. Objective instrumentation including infrared scanning must be used before and after adjustment. No twisting in adjustment. And don’t let anyone practice full spine chiropractic on you!

Take milk thistle it has a substance called silymarin. It can help to detoxify the liver of the drugs you’ve been taking, and help the body to regenerate.
    Please keep in touch.
